She was so precious and fragile yet he had no regard for any of that, there was only one thing that was racing through the mind of this edgy character. He had to have it, what would I do if he actually did get it? But that’s a story not for any fairytale she knows. Lurking around the corner from the gates he waits for her to vacate the premisses. A high pitched squeal slices through the air and shudders his ear drum. It was her, he knew that noise. Slowly peering round the corner he sees the glimmer of her pink Hello Kitty lunch box, pausing, gazing deep in through as if he were taking the bag to pieces in his mind a reassembling it piece by piece. But he had been caught slipping and before to long she was gone and he had plenty of ground to make up. Launching himself off his back foot and propelling himself forward he began to make up the time that had lead astray. But being the gargantuan that he was speed wasn’t one of his strengths. The thundering of his feet and his excessive panting overwhelmed his hearing, blocking the sound of her high pitched outbreaks. Beads of sweat coming off his portly face bombarding the pavement like a monsoon. He had to stop for a breather, he was about to vomit his heart out. Once the drums from inside his head had subsided he began to regain his hearing however what replaced the pounding wasn’t what he was expecting. A symphony of sirens pieced his hearing and he began to realise that something was not right. Continuing on his expedition the sirens got louder and louder until it was merely an endless screech. He appears round the corner only to see a platoon of polices cars and vans surrounding the road. Scampering around to find sight of the girl he is distressed with what his eyes gaze upon. A small 11 year old girl surrounded by armed police, her face unrecognizable now. He see’s the glimmer of the lunch box yet again but this time its contents scattered everywhere. A deep sigh is let out before he turns away and heads home. Mumbling under his exhausted breath he says.“Fuck sake why didn’t she wait, I was starving!”
